This adventurous little girl arrived ready to explore, immediately joining her siblings in play and investigation—and she hasn’t slowed down since! You can still find her all over the house, checking out everything around her and making sure she doesn’t miss a thing.

She is playful throughout the day, with plenty of zoomies and kitten antics before finally wearing herself out and settling down for a nap. She especially loves playing with her siblings and has made it her personal mission to wake them up when they’re trying to nap. Catnip gives her an especially impressive boost of energy!

When she’s ready for a little downtime, she’ll happily climb into your lap for belly scratches. She is affectionate, gentle, and comfortable being carried by visitors. She also became comfortable with her foster dog at a young age and enjoys playing with him.

She loves toys of all kinds, is comfortable around the vacuum, and is litter box trained. Because she has so much playful energy, she would do best with another playful cat who is ready to keep up with her adventures.

If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate kitten with a big personality and an endless supply of zoomies, this girl is ready to meet you!

Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.

NOTE ABOUT BREED LABELING: Visual breed identification of dogs is unreliable and usually inaccurate. So, for most of our adoptable pups, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog or puppy as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Please read the following general requirements carefully before submitting an adoption application. While this criteria is our typical standard, we understand all situations are unique! Don’t be discouraged if you don’t feel you meet one of these bullet points – feel free to submit an application anyway, so we can discuss your situation with you.

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Submitted applications must be filled out fully and factually.
  • All applicants must reside in the state of Minnesota or its bordering states, unless a special exception has been made. Please email us at info@ruffstartrescue.org if you would like to discuss the potential for an out of state adoption.
  • Consider how you’ll manage an isolation period and be sure all existing pets are up-to-date on vaccinations and other routine health care before bringing a new pet home. An isolation period would be good for allowing that animal to settle in and learn the routine.
  • Please be aware of any rental/association or homeowners’ insurance restrictions you may have before applying. Such limits may include breed restrictions, number of pets allowed, weight requirements, etc.
  • All adopted animals must live indoors with their families and always be monitored closely when outdoors for their safety (with the exception of working cats).
  • We do not allow any medically-unnecessary surgical procedures, such as declawing; defanging; debarking; or cropping/docking (of tails or ears) to be conducted on any animal adopted from our rescue.
