Last night, Coal was rushed to Allied Veterinary Services in Brooklyn Park, where he was hospitalized after developing a persistent cough and nasal discharge. The diagnosis? Aspiration pneumonia. Right now, he’s on oxygen and receiving IV antibiotics, and while he’s showing some signs of improvement, the road ahead is still uncertain.
Coal is so small and so young, which means his recovery may take longer than we’d hoped. His current medical bill stands at $1,300, and the cost will rise to approximately $2,200 if he needs to stay through the evening. But despite the challenges, there’s hope. In just the last few hours, he’s become more active, and we are optimistic that he will make it through.
Coal is a little survivor, and we are determined to give him the chance to live out the life he deserves—one filled with love and care. Our greatest wish is for him to spend his very first Christmas surrounded by his loving foster family.
