Poika is a shy boy at first, but with trust and love he reveals a very sweet, loving, and silly boy. He has a tiny voice, but he tries to be vocal about certain things, like when he is excited or when you touch his belly too much. He is such a good, gentle, and handsome boy! He uses his litter boxes well, grooms himself well, and eats his food and drinks still water or from a fountain. The quickest way to his heart is brushes, though

So far he has not had any issues with the other cats in the house, but he does not seem interested in them at all, either. He does have a room of his own, but he has met some of the other cats briefly. So other pets shouldn’t be a problem for him unless they are aggressive.

His favorite toys are cat nip toys; so far he has not showed much interest in anything else. He gets around ok, but needs to build up his leg muscles. He was surrendered to a shelter due to health issues. Once in the shelter, it was discovered that he was diabetic. We do not know how long that went untreated, but he takes his insulin shots well and seems to understand they are what makes him feel better. We are uncovering his true personality through managing his health and well being, and it is a true gift! He would be a great feature to a quiet home where he can lay around and be loved!

Poika is undergoing treatment for Diabetes.

Poika is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
