Meet Shaggy! Shaggy is a devoted dog who is looking for a lifelong companion. He bonds hard to his humans once he trusts them! He can be shy when first meeting new people and will look to his trusted humans for guidance. Slow introductions to new humans and dogs are important for Shaggy to thrive. Allowing him to warm up on his own timeline is key. The world is still a bit scary and he is looking for a forever home to help him learn to trust it. A calmer quiet home would make him most comfortable.
Shaggy enjoys playing with toys, but he plays with them in a quiet place, like under the a bed. It is very endearing.
Shaggy currently lives with small dogs, children and adults.
Shaggy is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 12/2/2023 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
