Nootch, a charming moniker derived from "Nutritional Yeast," is a petite and endearing feline who endured the cold of winter while living outdoors. Initially reserved in the company of humans, he gradually transforms into a velcro cat when he builds trust with his chosen person. This enchanting cat with striking golden eyes relishes grooming sessions, cuddles, and napping on your lap. Once he establishes that trust, he becomes your constant companion.

The perfect home for Nootch would include a canine companion (his personal favorite!) and patient, gentle humans who are frequently present to share quality time together. As is typical with many rescued animals, it's essential to be mindful of the Rule of 3 when welcoming Nootch into your life: he may initially hide for a few days, exhibit skittishness for a couple of weeks, and take some time to feel entirely secure and relaxed, which could extend to a few months. However, once he embraces you, you'll discover an affectionate and devoted friend who adores sleeping in your embrace, offering morning kisses, and remaining by your side throughout the day.

Nootch is likely best suited as the sole cat in a household due to his history as a former stray tomcat, which has led to aggression towards other cats. Nevertheless, he exhibits great affection for dogs and, once acquainted, is equally fond of people. Despite his diminutive size, Nootch is surprisingly vocal , frequently expressing his thoughts through a continuous stream of meows, so his forever home should find his chatter endearing. His daily routine consists of basking in the sun, offering spontaneous meows (always with something to say), and seeking the warmth of a dog's or a human's presence. Furthermore, his strong inclination toward food makes him trainable, allowing for activities like nail trimming and donning leashes and outfits, all facilitated by tempting treats.

Nootch is from a stray surrender. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
