Brooks is from Texas. He was found roaming the streets there, and was brought into rescue after his stray hold was up. Brooks had been on the streets for a while and was in pretty bad condition when brought into rescue, very underweight and with skin issues from the fleas that just covered him. He has received proper Vetrinary care and nutrition while in rescue, and is now absolutely flourishing. It's time to find this handsome little man a home of his very own here in Minnesota. Brooks has been exposed to other small dogs in his Texan foster home, and he absolutely loves them. His foster says that his favorite part of the day is running around outside with the other dogs. Because of this, we think he would do very well in a home that has a friendly resident that is roughly around his same size, but it definitely isn't a requirement for adoption. Brooks isn't completely potty trained yet, but is working on it with his foster family every day. He's really been getting the hang of it lately by watching what the other resident dogs do while they are out. Keeping him on a consistent feeding/potty schedule once he gets to his new home here in Minnesota, will be key in getting him 100% potty trained once he arrives here in Minnesota. Brooks is kennel trained however. He sleeps there soundly through the night as well as taking all high value treats there as well. Brooks would love an active home that would take him on walks everyday, toss around his toys in the backyard, but still let him up on the couch for snuggles while watching TV every night.
