Coco is everyone’s friend! This quietly charming fellow is easy-going, engaging and just wants to be near you! He loves to be by people or other friendly cats whenever he can - he thinks life is better with buddies and would benefit by having a friendly cat companion in his forever home. While he likes to be near, he’s not big on snuggles! Instead, he prefers to be in the same room on a comfy blanket or couch. Coco loves to graze on his food throughout the day, and so far he’s a bigger fan of dry kibble, though he’ll eat a little wet food on the side. Water isn’t that interesting to him - but he does get enticed by a cat water fountain.
Coco arrived at St Paul animal control with a large mat on his back which had to be shaved, but his fur is growing back and he’s looking great! Coco will need to be brushed regularly to ensure he doesn’t get any painful mats. Coco has slight shakiness on his backside when he walks and is getting injections for suspected arthritis. He is doing well with this treatment, and continuation would require a once a month injection. The adopter may decide to treat differently per their vet recommendations, but this is working well for him in Rescue.
While Coco mostly loves to lounge and be near his pals, he has a playful side!! He particularly loves his bright orange ribbon, and will rollover belly up to bat and play! Just a few minutes of play each day is perfect in Coco's world. Coco would love to meet you at his foster home located in Minneapolis, MN.
Coco is from a local shelter. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
