Lap pet, Playful, Timid, Gentle, Plays with Toys

This sweet and spicy kitty loves to play in short bursts, then collapses to a nap. When it is naptime, she will lay on your lap for some snuggles or a nearby windowsill.

While she loves interactive toys, she is a pretty low energy cat. She much prefers a good nap near her people, yet, away from the dog. While Astrid is an independent cat, she wants to be near people. She loves a good nap on your warm lap, with some head scratches, but also, just wants to be in the same room as people. She loves to follow people from room to room and just check out what they are doing. She will explore cupboards if you leave them open, but mostly just finds a spot to lay nearby. She will even lay next to the bathtub while someone showers.

She is not a fan of the dog, or a lot of hustle and bustle. When there is too much noise and movement in the house, she gets overstimulated and may swat or hiss at whoever gets too close but she has learned to give herself a timeout to calm down. She will usually go into a quieter room and come back when she has calmed her nerves a bit. She would do really well in a calm home without dogs, or kids.

Pictures do not do her beautiful green eyes justice. She is a beautiful, slender kitty.
