Meet Aerizona and Gilbert ! Aerizona was a stray kitty that was surrendered with her only living kitten, Gilbert. They were found by a wonderful citizen who took care of them before they joined Ruff Start!

Momma Aerizona is a young mom (1.5 yrs est). She is a good mom and Gilbert loves her very much. She is getting used to people loving her and when she comes over and sits by me and wants pets, she purrs so beautifully. She uses her litterbox like a good girl and absolutely loves her cat tree. She and Gilbert both enjoy lounging in the cat tree and watching the outside world. We are working on introducing them both to our 2 small dogs but it is a very slow process, so I am not convinced they would do good in a home with a dog. Aerizona doesn’t mind being picked up and hugged but she always has an eye out for Gilbert. Both Aerizona and Gilbert are eating kibble and wet food. Aerizona I have noticed still nursed once in a while but Gilbert is eating more and more on his own. Gilly has the sweetest little mew. He loves to explore, climb and play. When he is done playing, we both enjoy him taking a little snooze on my lap. Gilbert also uses the litter box like a big boy. I have a covered litter box that they both share.  

Aerizona and Gilbert have a very special bond and that is why we are choosing to set them up to be adopted together utilizing Ruff Start’s mom and me program!

Aerizona is from a stray surrender with one kitten. During our spring and summer months, we see a major influx of kittens and pregnant mamas who need rescue. All too often mama does all the work and only her kittens get adopted! To keep families together and allow mama the shot she deserves at a loving home, our Mom & Me program encourages adopters to adopt both mama and a kitten.

Special adoption fees include adopting a kitten at regular price ($225) and adding mama on for only $25!
