Hi, my name is Spock.  My foster family thinks in my previous life I may have spent more of my time trying to protect myself than as a true household companion. I’m soaking up lots of love and attention in this next phase of life and working hard to learn new manners and skills. I’m still not sure about other dogs — I like my space when eating or sleeping, and will let everyone know it. I have been patient and loving with my foster family’s four older children, but do jump around and bump into things when excited. I’m very curious about cats and like to play chase — so I should probably only be around dog savvy felines. However, a home that I don’t have to share with other animals would be just fine by me too!  I am very loyal and want to be right by my person’s side at all times. For this reason, I am pretty vocal about being left alone, but am learning to spend time in my kennel. I love to play ball, tackle stuffies, and take naps by your side. I would make a perfect companion for someone who is home a lot and has the time to continue working on my training. Could you be my forever best friend?

Spock is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
