Onyx isn't your typical 1 year old dog with high energy.  He is sweet and gentle, loves to cuddle and is friendly with all the dogs he has met at foster mom's home.  He is one of 7 dogs residing with her.  He is treat motivated and learns what is expected of him quickly.  He takes treats very gently and is neither mouthy or overly jumpy.  Onyx knows to come, sit, stay and off.  Onyx is mildly energetic.  He will play with his chew toys on a dog bed for hours without complaint but when he misses his human, comes over to get ear scratches.  Onyx is both potty trained and crate trained, and fairly quiet unless he is alerting his human to new people approaching.  Onyx is friendly with all humans. He loves to chase his own tail and entertains himself when bored.  He gives great facial expressions and slobbery hand kisses.  Foster mom thinks she hit the jackpot busting him out of the shelter.  Onyx has been one of the easiest and sweetest dogs she has had.  Onyx is more submissive when playing with other dogs and gets a little scared if they try and play too rough with him.  He has never been aggressive but only wants to show love and playfulness.  He is a gem for sure and I would not be surprised if he were to get adopted quickly.

Onyx is from a local shelter. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
