Hello and thank you for your interest in Sid Vicious! Luckily this super sweet guy isn't like his name sake. Sid was brought up to Minnesota from a southern state and was housed in a local shelter here until coming to his current foster home. Sid was scared and anxious in the shelter but has quickly made himself at home even though we suspect he was an outdoor dog his whole life. He is eager to explore but likes to set the pace when investigating something. Usually it doesn't take him long to realize the new experience is not harmful, and he quickly gets over any hesitation he may have had. He is very outgoing when it comes to people. Even strangers he is eager to meet and has no problem going up to them and saying hi (and naturally demanding pets while doing so). Unfortunately we do not know how he is with kids as there are none in the house. If it is anything like adults, he would be just fine with them. He loves dogs and tends to be a bit submissive with them when playing. He loves running around with them, wrestling, and has no resource issues with sharing toys, dishes, bones, etc. He also doesn't seem to mind the outdoor cat (sniffed at one another through a storm door) and he loves to silently watch the birds and squirrels through the window. Sid is potty trained, knows basic commands (we are working on more), and is wonderful during car rides. He sleeps in his kennel and keeps it clean as well! Sometimes he does bark for a few minutes when first put in his kennel so an apartment might not be the best place for him. Otherwise he doesn't really bark when out and about and overall has no issues with being in his kennel. He absolutely LOVES toys and the softer the better. He also enjoys puzzle games, playing fetch, and tug of war. Overall, Sid is outgoing, sweet, eager to learn (very food motivated!) and just wants to be near his people. He is super goofy, laid back, and is good at entertaining himself when no one is around to play. He is enjoying his second chance at life every single day and can't wait to find his forever family. If you are looking for a gorgeous dog that is up for anything Sid might be your guy!
