Hi! This awesome litter consists of Momma Peaches and her awesome boys - Alvin, Simon, Theodore and Cotton. Peaches is bonded to Theodore and they need to be adopted together. Please click here to learn more about him. They are available through our mom and me program which allows mom to be adopted with her baby at a reduced rate of $25.
A big hearted family in the Minneapolis area noticed Peaches around their neighborhood and fell in love with her. After much searching, they learned that she was a stray so they took her in. Peaches made herself right at home and thanked her new family by giving birth to 4 kittens! The family was shocked (and thrilled!) They helped Peaches raise her kittens for six months and after much debate and many tears, they surrendered them as a family to Ruff Start (they really wanted to keep them all but with other cats and a dog in the house, that just was not a reality).
Peaches is the most devoted, strong, sweet, patient mom. She is very young (2 years old) and has lots of playfulness in her. And that is a good thing - since her kittens are full of energy and play! She loves to be pet- she purrs when you even get close to her. She spends much of her time being in "Mom-Mode" where she is sitting up high and watching her boys and cleaning and coddling them. As the kittens get more independent, it has been super fun to see Peaches start to play and romp and wrestle more and more. Orange female cats are pretty rare and this one is unique and wonderful - some have even called her "A Real Peach" :-)
Alvin, Simon, Theodore and Cotton are awesome kitties! Like all kittens, they do lots of playing and lots of sleeping. They love to wrestle with each other and chase toys (real and imaginary) around the room. They chase each other from one end of the house to the other - up and over the couch, diving under chairs, leaping over shoes. They explore every nook and cranny they can find; the bathtub was a recent discovery. They loved sliding around and discovering water :-) Their play sessions are always followed by naps; any location will do for these tired kitties. Most of the time, they are snuggled together in a pile but they have also been found in boxes, on iPads and in the dirty laundry basket.
These brave and curious cats have spent a lot of time around kids and are very accustomed to laps, petting and interactive playing. All four of them LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE being pet and snuggled. These darlings love all people - young and old. And with proper slow introductions, they got along great with the cat-friendly dog in the house. (Since momma cats are often protective of their young, none of this family has been introduced to other cats. But once Peaches evolves out of 'protective' mode, it is likely (with slow and proper introductions) she and the kittens would get along with other cat-friendly cats.
All of them have a perfect litter box record, use scratching posts, and are good eaters. If you are looking to add maximum cuteness, tons of fun and many snuggles to your home, then these kitties might be for you! This family is with a foster in Minneapolis; after applying, you are welcome to visit/meet them.
Peaches was from a local surrender. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
