Meet Taupe - but we’ve been calling him Sly!  Sly is an independent guy who gets along with other dogs, but prefers females. What guy wouldn't? He would do best with an adult only home.  Since arriving from Texas, Sly has made himself right at home. His only downfall is he loves to steal food!  We’re working on it! Sly has a funny behavior of “growling” - we’re figuring this out but he does it even when he is snuggling and tail is full wagging. We think it’s more of a vocal/talking behavior because he continues to ask for affection. We are working very hard on potty training - which he was before coming to MN but he hates the cold. He’s a quick learner though and very food motivated so give him a treat and he will do anything, he has been accident free for over a week.  He does sleep in a kennel and settles down after about 15 mins. I wouldn’t even kennel him except I want him kennel trained and for potty training purposes but he is so calm he easily could just be in the house all the time and I’d never worry about it. He is an incredibly easy dog who  is still learning how to live in a home but  with some basic training he will shine! Oh and please rename him - Taupe is no name for personality filled pup like him!  He. Wouldn't you love to be the one who shows this guy how good life can really be?
