Hello! My name's Sasha. I love hanging out with my fosters, but I’m not supposed to be here. I was happily living out my golden years with my human and dog siblings. We had been a family for a long time. But everything changed and a fire took my human and my home. As a result, I was picked up by Animal Control and found my way to Ruff Start. It has been a challenging journey. Along the way I have remained resilient and adaptive.

Now let’s talk about my charms. I am a sweet and goofy gal. I make happy tippity-taps if the words ‘walk’, ‘treat’, or ‘good girl’ are mentioned. Overall, I am very chill and spend most of my days lounging and snoring away. I get along with the two medium dogs I’m living with. To be honest, I am more of a co-exister and prefer to focus on my humans. I am a devoted companion. So, if you are doing a puzzle, I will be by your feet. If you are taking a nap, reading, or watching TV, I will be by your side. Getting scritches and treats from you makes me the happiest dog on earth. My one bad habit is that, when left alone, I will help myself to any food left on the counter or in the lower cabinets. My foster is working on putting catches on the cabinets to remove the temptation. What can I say, the food you folks eat is delicious. Other than the small issue of the food thing, I have my foster’s complete trust in being left alone.

Do you have space in your life for a pepper-faced sweetie like me?
