Maddie is 11 years young and nobody told her she is a senior girl. She is very quirky and funny, but most of the time her goal in life is to find a comfortable place to nap. She loves fetch and to play tug-of-war with her humans, but most of all, she loves butt scratches and ear scratches. She loves to curl up next to her humans and have them talk to her and tell her she's a good girl, because she is! She's house trained and will let you know if she wants to go out, but she really likes to go out with her humans. She's too cool for other dogs and really dislikes cats. Mostly she just wants her humans all to herself. She's also great at protecting the house from furry invaders (Squirrels) and will let you know if the mailman is trying to deliver anything.
Here is a day in the life of Maddie: She usually wakes us up around 530 to go potty by giving foster mom big wet kisses and wagging her tail really hard against the wall. Then she'll crawl back into bed until it's time for food (her favorite thing!). When foster mom is working, she'll nudge her for pets (her favorite thing!) then we'll play fetch during lunch (Her favorite thing!), then in the evening Maddie will help cook dinner by sampling anything that falls on the floor to check it for poison (her favorite thing!). After dinner, Maddie cuddles with foster family and gets belly rubs, ear scratches, and butt scratches (Her favorite thing!). When we clean her ears, she hides in her kennel and refuses to come out (her least favorite thing!)
She's looking for a home to spend her golden years where she can relax, get ear scratches, and nap comfortably in a quiet home without small children pulling on her ears and tail.
Maddie is from a local surrender. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
