Hello, my name is Lissa and I am a sweet spunky tabby girl. The 7-year-old human in my house named me "Lissa" in case you were wondering where the name came from. I once lived at someone's farm as a barn cat, but I decided I no longer wanted to live there anymore and started wondering the neighborhood in search of a new home where I could be indoors and get canned food. I have since learned how much I LOVE fuzzy blankets, catnip toys, and I even like to watch TV. I hear my human foster parents say "she is short and stubby", whatever that means...
I live with 2 dogs who I actually really enjoy, I am still getting to know them better and figure them out but I like to lay on the rug in their presence. I also live with 3 humans (2 adults and a 7-year-old girl). The 7-year-old has never had a cat before so I am trying to be on my best behavior. I love being held and snuggling up. My favorite thing is laying in the cat perch bed in the big window, watching the birds and squirrels.
Oh, and I also love to have conversations with you. If you ask me a question, I usually have an answer for you. I can be shy at first towards new people and animals, but once I know you, I am really extraverted and can tell you stories all day long. Don't worry though, I know when it's bedtime and I won't keep you up all night.
I would love to find a home where I can watch birds and squirrels out the window, someone who will play with me and also snuggle with me. I want to join in on movie night! My foster family doesn't know how I am with other cats because they don't have one, but they know I do well with dogs (dogs who like cats that is). They call me a "dog cat". Somedays I want to go back outside because that is what I am used to, but last time I saw a giant owl in the tree and have since decided I am better off inside where it's safe.
I look forward to meeting you and having a family to call my own!
