Meet Spiced!  She is cuddly and LOVES belly rubs. She is such a sweetheart and will melt into your lap. She is super smart and has taken to training really well. Spiced already knows to sit and down and we are working on stay (everything is just so exciting!). She comes when I call her out in the yard, but we have not had a distraction yet while working on that.

Spiced has lots of energy and can jump over all the baby/dog gates we have. She gets excited and will need a family who's ready to go for walks and provide exercise for Spiced.  We’ve recently let her out in our fenced yard off leash and she ZOOMS everywhere!  Spiced can get a little mouthy when we are playing, but that is getting better with redirection to appropriate chew toys. Because she is so smart, she figures out the dog puzzles we have right away.

Spiced is good with kids but she still has to learn some manners as she tries to wrestle/play with them. My 4 year old giggles when Spiced climbs up on the chair with him and licks his face. Probably best to avoid smaller children at this time until she learns some manners as I'm afraid she'd knock them over.  She still jumps up with excitement to greet people and we are working on this behavior so Spiced can be her best self. Spiced is reactive to other dogs on our walks so she will need work on that.

Spiced is crate trained but not a fan of it if she's left alone. She will bark for 30 minutes as she really wants to be with her people.  She is great in her crate at night as we have her in our bedroom.  To continue to encourage a positive association, we are feeding her meals in her crate.

Spiced is getting ready for her forever home and hopes to find her new family real soon.

Spiced came to MN from Texas as a stray with her sister Sugarbear.
