Hi I’m Luca. I’m a sweet 1.5 yo boy who loves playing fetch, belly rubs, and if I could snuggle all day after that, I’d think I was in heaven. I’m quiet and clean in my kennel, potty trained, and eager to please my owner. I lived with a young kiddo and other dogs previously (one female husky, the other a tiny breed puppy) and my foster parents also have kids that I love (aged 3.5 & 8). I love kids and am friendly with them, but would do best in a home with older kiddos because of my size and strength-I might accidentally knock people over or crash into them sometimes with my eagerness to say hello.
I am in a foster home because my owner has to move and is not able to bring me with. Before I was safely in my current foster home, I ended up somewhere unsafe where I experienced neglect and abuse. I am regaining my confidence every day, but need a patient new home that understands I’ve been through a lot in my short life & will need to take things slowly with me.
I know sit, down, paw, side (come). Since I’m food motivated, I will learn whatever you want to teach me; check out this video. My foster parents don’t know how I would do with cats, but I do like chasing forest critters in the fenced yard at my foster home. My foster family thinks I would be most successful with a large fenced yard of my own to safely run off extra energy, and work on my leash walking and manners where I can’t pull myself into trouble. My skin and tummy get a little upset if I eat chicken, but I’m doing great with most chicken free foods and treats.
I’m learning better manners every day and feeling safe and loved. I'm looking for a new home and would love to meet you!
