Lap pet, Protective, Timid, Skittish, Independent, Good in Car,

Tae is a sweet girl that is great with adults and calm teenagers.  She is also leash and crate trained, does well in a car, and likes water. She is good with big dogs as well, but would actually do best being the only dog. Tae is very independent, a bit skittish and also shy.

T ae will do well if she has her human(s) around to feel safe. She needs time to acclimate and trust so she needs a calm family to help her grow, probably best with a couple or single, or older calm kids.  She loves to cuddle in bed and loves being held once she knows she is safe.  Tae was returned from a family that said Tae did not get along with their teenage son's friends. Tae did not like her feet touched or being petted around her neck. We spent time getting Tae to trust again, be physically picked up and petted. Perhaps she was not treated that well or the teenagers scared her, which made her fearful. She can be h ome alone during the day, and does not need to be crated.  She wants to jump on and get picked up by her humans when they get home and is so happy to see them!  She doesn't like the other dogs to get in her space for eating or sleeping, so again, would do best as an only.

Tae is allowed in the bed so she  thinks she is a princess! She loves to perch on a chair and look outside. When she sleeps in the bed, she burrows under the covers towards the bottom. She is in g ood physical shape but emotionally she needed time to adjust and allow her Texas foster family to pick her up. Her new family could really help her grow and build trust to feel safe and thrive.

TaeTae is from Texas.
