Meet Tobey but we call him Louie! We don't know a lot about Tobey's past, but we do know that he's learning how to be a happy playful pup. He’s got the softest face, looks like he is always smiling & he has the most adorable ears.

He is timid at first with new people & kids and likes to watch them for a bit. After a short while he gets brave & comes in for a kiss or snuggle. He just craves those neck scratches. He’s nervous with loud kids but just maintains his own space to observe. He gets more confident every day. He will likely benefit from a home that already has a resident pup to show him the ropes and/or a patient family to help him feel safe.

He is crate trained but needs a little work on the word kennel. He will go in for feedings & whenever necessary but usually needs to be brought over. Then he goes right in. He sleeps in his kennel for bedtime & never whines. He doesn’t know “heel” when walking but pulls very, very rarely on a leash. He will easily pick up walking on leash. He loves to play with his furry sisters, even when they get pushy. He loves to put his feet on your lower back while on a walk. It’s almost like a conga line! He is housetrained but must be kept on a schedule still to ensure he stays that way.

He's a very intelligent boy and wants to please his people. He enjoys playing with toys and other dogs, is very quiet, but takes a little while to warm up to people. He needs a patient family that will allow him to blossom into the happy dog he's meant to be at his own pace.
