Well howdy! My name is Rowdy! I am a big pup from the rez who was brought to MN to find me a new family! Is that you?

I know what you're thinking, a big puppy? Hahahah, what a goofball! I’m told I am so cute!  I am adorable! I am floppy, silly, and very food motivated! I will definitely need a family who is ready to train such a big lump. I am an Akita mix, which my foster Mommy says can be really "stubborn". I don't know what that means, but I love getting my way all the time! Which can sometimes get me into trouble.. I can be mouthy, overbearing, and have little understanding of personal space!  I just want all the love and attention!! I test everything with my mouth since I probably have some herding breed in me too, meaning a home with no little kids will be important to me. I don't want to knock them over and I don't want to hurt them, but right this second I have a lot of learning to do before I am ready for children.

I love going for walks and I don't even pull! Toys are my favorite and the kitties in my house, even though they keep refusing to play with me, don't mind when I ask. I think I love basically anyone and everyone! My dog siblings are helping me learn doggie cues and I am a quick learner. I love my canine foster sister; she is small and my canine foster brother is bigger than even me and we play all day together until I am tuckered out. I am still learning my basic commands, but a strong leader and family who loves me is all I need to succeed! I kennel right now at night because my foster parents say I am a bed hog, so I don't mind being away while you're at work or busy. I keep myself entertained in my kennel with a bone my Mom gave me to chew on or Kongs.  Kongs are awesome; I love chewing on them and tossing them around to play with too. My Mom says I have a real eye for things to keep me busy.

I am not much of a cuddler right now but I really enjoy playing, walking, running, and being a general good boy. Being from working breeds I need a lot of stimulation to be tired and then I crash on your bed, your lap, the couch, really whatever I can find.

I am juuuusstt a bbaabbyy! I'd love to be your 75lbs baby though.. what do you think? Bring me home?
