I'm going by James these days. Or Jimjams. Or Jaimus. Mr Kennedy does not capture with joie de vivre with which I approach EVERYTHING. My favorite 10-year-old comes up with new nicknames for me pretty often, which I think is fun.

A little about me. I enjoy lounging on the couch, cuddling, playing tug of war, playing with other dogs, snooping on whatever you are doing at all times, watching squirrels out the window, and learning new commands in exchange for tasty snacks. I REALLY enjoy going for long walks, tracking animal scents, digging at the beach, and swimming. Let's go, I say! I love exploring and look forward to becoming your hiking or running partner. There's so much more for me to see and smell, I can't wait.

I'm still full of puppy-ish energy and curiosity. Because of this I would do best in a household that can provide me with various ways to exercise, whether that be physically through walking/running or mentally through the use of food puzzles, games, training, or agility. My foster mom has been trying out various enrichment activities with me and I have enjoyed every one. To give you an idea of my athleticism and enthusiasm, I've figured out how to do ariel 360s while anticipating dinner.

Because I prefer to be by your side, I'd rather not be in a kennel. But I will settle down quickly with a few toys and treats to lure me in. I have strong sense of curiosity, so it is best that I be kenneled when you are out. I'm trying my best to learn what is and is not meant for me to chew, but this world and all the smells can be so dang exciting. To be honest, I find myself in a wee bit of trouble sometimes. Even though my manners have come a long way since I came to Ruff Start, better self-control is still on my to-do list. Can you help a guy out?
