Erykah has a very large personality that is balanced by her beauty.  Just look at those green eyes and long white whiskers.  She is curious and enjoys her play time. She has used a puzzle dish to eat idry food out of -she likes a good mentally stimulating challenge. She loves to scent mark everything, including her humans! This is her way of creating safety and dominance in her living space. She shows her love and affection for you with belly displays and chin rubs. She can spend hours perched high watching the outside environment, taking in the world around her.  Her other past time is napping in the chair.  She’s a cat that loves her human time but also wants and needs her alone time.  My foster mom has other cats and a dog.  I can see them and even play footsie with one under the door but we haven’t been introduced. I really prefer to be the queen of my home. It’s best to give me my space to settle in and get comfortable in my new environment before getting too friendly and snuggling. Once adjusted, I love to sit on my humans lap and get lots of pets.

She has had some difficulty at the RSR office and at her previous foster home with some episodes of aggression. From the foster's observation, the aggression is related to overstimulation/petting and also status/territory marking. Ways to keep her aggression in check include learning her body language and providing her with a safe room that can help her decompress before the situation escalates. A solid routine and environment also keeps her aggression contained, so it is useful to have caution and care when introducing new things. Due to her desire for dominance and tendency to lash out for status/territory, it is best for Erykah to be the only royalty in her kingdom, which should also be kid-free.

I prefer an extra large litter box with high back & sides to help me from missing or going over the edge. I can be a picky eater. Nothing fancy….Meow Mix.

You will get lost in the beauty of her striking green eyes and they will charm you into creating the environment that Erykah needs to be balanced and loving in your home!
