Hi there, my name is Cricket! My cat family and I were living in a hay barn on a farm, and there were far too many of us on the property. Luckily, Ruff Start Rescue was contacted and I am now living the good life as an indoor cat!
I LOVE playing with toys of all kinds, especially motion toys and wand toys. You should see me leap in the air to grab the wand toys - I can jump so high! I am so fun to watch and play with!
Personality wise, I’m a bit of a shy boy who is a little uncertain of people. I have come far in my foster home, but I will need a home that can continue to work on my socialization. I like to be near you and purr and play, but I’m just not so sure about letting you pet me yet! I’ll need to work on that with a patient person who knows it’ll be so worth it to draw me out of my shell and see me shine!
Due to my shyness, I am actually looking for a special person that has room in their heart for TWO kitties. I am bonded with my sister Virgo ! She's showing me by example that pets from people are great!
I’m living with a dog and while I am mostly calm around her, sometimes I don’t speak “dog” well - I want to pounce on her tail when it’s wagging, or sometimes I’ll jump right up on her when she’s up on the couch. I will need to learn manners from a dog that will gently show me what the no-no’s are, or be with a dog who is just very chill and laid back.
I am waiting hopefully for the big-hearted person or family who can help make my dreams come true - my very own forever family with my sister Virgo!
UPDATE: After some veterinary work it was determined I have a chronic upper respiratory infection, at this time there is no further care needed but my adopter should know I can have flare ups with congestion and sneezing.. My future adopter may need to follow up with their veterinarian.
Cricket is from Zimmerman. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
