Other Traits:

Hi, my name is Mickee.  I'm what you'd call a bit of an "independent kitty".
I spend most of my time at the top of the cat tree by the windows or lounging somewhere in the house.  If somebody is watching TV or working on the computer I will come and sit by them.  I prefer to be near my people, rather than sitting on them (or on their keyboards!).  When it's just me and my foster parents at home, I'm fine. I can be picked up and cuddled for a few minutes.
It took me about three weeks of being in my own room before I started getting comfortable in my foster home.  But now I have free run of the house and I get along ok with the resident pets!  If the other pets leave me alone I will leave them alone too.
I will admit, I'm not great with strangers.  They scare me.  My foster family puts me in my own room and shuts the door before someone comes over to visit.  I'm hoping that, with understanding and patience, I can overcome this fear.
I prefer a little dry cat food over canned cat food and I'm not much into kitty treats, although I will eventually eat them if you leave them on the floor for me.
If you are a kitty whisperer and can handle a guy with a bit of social anxiety, then you might be the person for me and I might be a special companion for you!
