This little lady is Winnie and she’s a 1.5-year-old Coonhound who is looking for her forever home! you want a high-energy dog to be active with or be a wrestling partner for your other dog, then she’s your gal. If you want a highly affectionate lovebug who wants to snuggle up on the couch with you, then she’s also your gal.

Winnie needs a strong and supportive leader to show her the way! She is a very typical coonhound which means she is smart, crafty, mischievous, and verbal. Because Winnie can be vocal a home with shared walls would not be a good fit for her. Give her a clear task and she’s a dynamo. She is HIGHLY responsive to training (food motivated!) and positive guidance (aka: lots of praise).  She is house-broken, crate-trained and we are working daily on her obedience including SIT, DOWN, OFF, QUIET, WATCH ME and more. Winnie was an owner surrender, so she understands normal “home life” like a pro.

Winnie is great with other dogs (again, loves to play and wrestle). Her prior owners said she is good with cats and kids, but we haven’t yet put her in those situations to test it out.

Winnie weighs 58lbs and is a local owner surrender. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
