Shadow is my name is lurking is my game! I am a bit on the cautious side and tend to lurk along one of my siblings or my mom in new environments. Once I get the lay of the land, I am good to go! But I would like, if possible, to have a playmate or someone that can help me continue to build my confidence. It would be great if I could go to a home with someone from my family! I especially love my mom Sonic! I am a sweet boy who doesn’t have a mean bone in my body. I am gentle and am pretty easy going once I get comfortable in my surroundings. Can I lurk in your home?

After some tests were done, it was found that our kitty family tested positive for feline coronavirus, but don't worry, this isn't the same as the human kind!  This is a very common viral infection that affects the GI tract.  Because of this, we are currently eating a special food.  Follow up care with our future adopter's vet may be needed.  We know this may sound scary, but it actually is very common!  80-90% of cats are infected with feline coronavirus, they just are never tested or diagnosed!

Shadow is from a reservation in South Dakota. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.

Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
