Hey there, I'm Violeta! I took a break from playing with my canine friends to introduce myself. I may be a little shy at first - I may even bark or hide from you, but I'm a very loving pup once you convince me you’re the one for me. I'm working hard on building my confidence. While humans haven’t always been great to me, I’m willing to give you guys another chance!
I am a small gal for my breed mix - only 23 pounds so far! I’m smart, playful, and energetic. My favorite thing is running around in my fenced yard with my playmates. I have a strong prey drive and don’t have my manners down yet, so I would prefer a home without small children or cats. Since I react to sudden movements, it's best if I'm around children who are old enough to understand my boundaries or in a child-free home. Personally, I'd LOVE it if I could find a quiet home with one or two low-key adults.
My foster family is teaching me how to be an ideal fur child, including how to walk on a leash and being comfortable in my kennel. I sleep in my kennel but will bark if I’m in there during the day. There’s so much to see and do, and I can’t contain myself yet! I'm housetrained, but since I am young may have an accident or two in a new environment.
Do you think I’m the one for you? If so, come play with me!
Violeta weighs 23 pounds (and is still growing!) and is from a reservation in South Dakota. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
*Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.*
