Hi I'm Lucky Lucille, but you can call me Lucille or Lucy for short. I'm very happy to be inside a house now eating regular food. I sleep quiet on a soft blanket in a kennel all night. Before they brought me to Minnesota I was in the cold so long that I was sick and I had to eat garbage to survive. My ears and tail even got some frostbite, but I am a survivor so I don't think back and that too much. I like playing with stuffed toys, balls, and anything that makes noise. My favorite thing to chew on is a bully stick, unless you have some garbage or recycling you will let me have! My foster mom keeps telling me I don't have to eat garbage anymore, but I don't like to waste eating opportunities. Bonus-I will try to eat anything you offer me. I have already learned that I looove sliced tomatoes and cauliflower stems.

For exercise I love zooming up and down the stairs and around in circles anywhere I can. I enjoy long walks in the woods and I think I would like to try walking to a brewery sometime. I have not met any other animals since I was rescued, because when they found me I was too sick to be around anyone else. I had to get better and then gain some weight to get some vaccines. I think I would like having dog siblings that like to play with me but being an only child would be okay too.

My ideal forever home would have windows where I could watch the yard and guard for intruders such as squirrels. If you have a fence I could keep the squirrels on the other side of it. Also, I love being by my people, so don't expect too much personal space when you're on the couch or going for a car ride! If I have to go potty I will go to the door and cry for you to let me out. I know some other 'tricks' too like sit, shake, and spin. I am working on 'stay' but sometimes I get too excited and I can't focus on 'stay'ing too long!

My foster mom says I'm about 35 lbs, and even though I am still a puppy she thinks I probably won't get bigger. Also, she says my breed is rez dog, but I think even more specifically I'm a small black and brindle Shepard mix. Think you have room on your couch for me? Want to meet me? I'd love to meet you!

If you are interested in getting to know me better, please fill out an adoption application . An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
