Hi, my name is Yoda and I came from Lake Traverse Reservation. I currently weigh 65 lbs.

I am a  smiley, submissive, sensitive sweetheart who is literally a ray of sunshine!   I am so happy to meet everyone and every dog and I love to snuggle in for a belly rub. My foster thinks I have had some training because I already know sit and I don't fully get on furniture. If you were to invite me up though I'd happily comply. I am comfortable on a leash and with a collar but I still need some time to get used to each. I enjoy walks so it should be easy though! So far I do not pull on my leash. I had my first bath and I did ok. I like the water but do not care for that scary blow drier.

My foster family says there is not an aggressive bone in my body. I  will retreat every chance Ihave if I get scared or feel threatened. I am not super into treats but I want to please my people so badly that training should be smooth. I lay down and calm down nicely and my foster hasn't heard a bark from me yet. I did whine a bit in the car because I was afraid but by the end of the drive, I was looking out the window and seemed to enjoy it. I will need to learn to balance while in a car but that's just from a lack of exposure.

My face looks gray, but it is black fur with white mixed in. I am believed to be 6-8 years old, but there is a possibility I might be younger. I move well and don't seem to have any aches or pains. I look like a border collie but have a brown underside like a Bernese mountain dog. I will likely shed like a maniac as I get acclimated to living in a house so regular grooming will be needed. I seem to enjoy house life and I love to be brushed. One thing I don't like is getting my tail touched. It was coated in burrs that I couldn't get off so it could be lingering issues from that. Nothing that time won't heal.

I have met young children and loved them up. I haven't met any cats but I don't show any prey drive so it's possible that I would be fine with slow intros. My foster thinks I would submit to a cat. I am not sure what my play style is yet because the other dog in my foster home is kind of a curmudgeon!
