Hi there! My name is Cindi and I came to Ruff Start from Texas originally. I currently weigh 18 lbs but I am still growing!
I live for a good snuggle! Even with my young age I am perfectly content sitting next to you or in your arms. I would do this all day if you let me!
I enjoy chasing toys, I haven’t quite mastered bringing the toys back to continue playing but I am working on it. My favorite thing is running and jumping and trying to tackle those toys down. I am a fairly quiet pup, and have only barked so far when I get startled by a noise or person. However I bark continuously in my kennel if I am left in there so I probably wouldn’t be great in a shared wall living situation.
I am great with the kids in my house and would consider myself an equal snuggle opportunity dog. I just want to be held regardless if it’s my foster parent or either of the kids (ages 10 & 12) who live in the home! I am still working on potty training, but I am so close! The only couple of accidents I have had have been because I wasn't being watched or when I Houdini-ed my way out of the kennel and had free range of the house for hours on end while my foster parent was at work. I will sleep through the night as long as you let me in your bed. Otherwise I will cry if I can't be with you. I am sure I could become crate trained if you are willing to try, but my favorite home would be someone who wants a snuggle at night!
I am truly a shadow of my people. What can I say, I just want to be near you all the time! You sit on the couch, I want to be on the couch. You get up to go to the kitchen, I want to go in the kitchen. You go to another room, I am going with. I think part of it is out of curiosity, but part of it is I really just have a desire to be with you! I am an amazing listener! I am young and have lots to learn but generally only need to be told no once to stop whatever behavior I am displaying in that moment. I am not combative and I don't display any sort of stubbornness. Just a simple no, and I am good to move on!
Since I am a puppy I am still learning all the puppy things like keeping all 4 paws on the ground. I like to jump up with my front paws whether that be to say hi to you or on a counter. I am also still learning how to walk on a leash. I am not impressed with the MN weather and am still learning to appreciate snow. Because of this I am not interested in walks at this point. I only like to go out for a potty break and then it’s right back in the house. Other than that though, I love this place and I can't wait to find my forever home. Could that be with you?
