Hi there! My name is Rumbo and I am looking for love and my forever family. I am a young muscular boy with a fun loving attitude. I love playing with toys, although they don't tend to last too long with my idea of fun. I am also a water dog and love playing in the baby pool at my foster home, as I did at the shelter. Another one of my favorite things is belly rubs. I am terrified of balloons, although it might take me time to notice them.
I met my mom while I was staying at a local shelter. I had a fun zest for life and loved spending time outside in play groups and with volunteers. Although I look grown up, I am a puppy at heart and with that I can be a little mouthy with my love. I do listen, but I need reminders to give kisses and not love bites. I am a happy boy meeting just about anyone, but cats and critters are a no go. They just look too fun.
My foster mom and I have worked on crate training, and I do GREAT. I happily go in my crate for meals and when my foster isn't home to to watch me. I rarely make a noise. It is my comfy place. We have also been working on my leash walking and I have made really quick progress, from mouthing the leash to walking loosely, although I need reminders occasionally. I know sit and lay. We are continuing to work on my "impulse control," to help with my mouthiness.
I generally like other dogs, but I would be fine being an only pet as well.
My ideal home would be patient with me as I transition and continue helping me become the best boy I can be. I seem to do best with some structure and routine. I would love a home that is committed to training and helping me become the best boy I can be. I might not be Harvard material, but I really enjoy treats and like to please people. I also am the best cuddler. Especially in the car.
