Orchid may be her name, but her foster mom calls her Cartoon due to her joyful, childlike temperament. She is an extremely expressive dog and we swear sometimes she actually skips. Orchid is a local lady who was found stray in Minnesota. She was very scared when she found herself at animal control but quickly discovered that the officer was the best dog friend. She can be a little shy meeting some new people, but most new people she's met recently she immediately thinks are her long lost pals. She is a very sweet dog who loves to play fetch and beg for belly rubs any chance she gets. Her foster home includes an array of animals, including ducks, a parrot and several other dogs. She has been only minorly interested in the household critters, so she could probably learn to live nicely with cats or other critters if her adopter does slow intros and some training. She is very dog friendly and would play tug and chase all day with her dog friends if she could. She'd love a home with another dog but it's not mandatory. She usually sleeps through the night in her crate. She is a quiet dog who hardly ever barks and only whines when awaiting breakfast! She does great on car rides and really just needs someone patient & loving who can turn her into the good girl she can be! She hasn't got much for training, so she'll need someone who can teach her a few things, but she does know "sit" and "kennel". Orchid is a cuddly little flower who deserves to find her forever after already being left on the streets to fend for herself at only 1 year old.
