If you think you can handle the handsomeness, then let me introduce you to Jacob. Jacob is approximately 2 years old, and he has been through a lot. He came from a hoarding case, and once in foster care he decided we would have to really earn his trust before we got to see his beautiful self walking around in the open. For the first few weeks, he just wanted to hide with his sister who was being fostered with him. Jacob was very stressed from being moved around from his home, and would hiss at us a lot in the beginning. He does that when he is stressed, but he is truly a very sweet boy! They are both shy, but Jacob finally decided he wanted to see what the good life was like, so he came out of hiding - slowly at first, and still a bit skittish. Every day he becomes more and more a part of our home, and we see this sweet, loving, fun, playful cat reveal himself to us. It is a delight!

Let me further explain his personality. He is what Jackson Galaxy would call a "tree dweller". He likes to find all the highest shelves and tops of furniture, and can get up to some in just a single bound. If you have cat shelves or ever wanted to, he's the guy to have them for. He is also very independent. We thought at first that he and his sister might be a bonded pair, but over time he started hiding apart from her. Then he came out of hiding on his own, and doesn't really interact with the other cats too much. He doesn't mind them, but he is an explorer, a leader, and a lone wolf. He could do well as an only cat, but he definitely gets along well with other cats! If you have children or other types of pets, he will likely need a lot of time to become confident in a separate space in your home before meeting them.

What makes Jacob happy the most are lots of fun toys, high places to roam, a good hiding spot to sleep in, patience, and affection! Just let him come to you in his own time, and he will rub his head on your hands and make biscuits on your lap! He also loves a good window to look out of with his gorgeous light green eyes!
