Nice to meet you! I'm Robot. While I can't hear, I use my eyes and nose to explore my surroundings. I find it really calming just to sit and watch my yard. My foster mom thinks it's really funny that she can see me thinking and processing my thoughts. Sometimes I just look at stuff and go "hmmm?" I once quietly and sweetly observed a wooly bear caterpillar crossing the sidewalk.

I'm an absolute sweetheart who loves toys and chewing things, check out how gentle I am with stuffed toys. I also can be a bit clingy, always wanting to follow my foster mom around -- I just love people so much!  I do need a crate inside so that you can safely leave me home if you need to go out.  I don't like to be without my kennel if you're not here, and I can panic and scratch at the door.  I feel very safe in my kennel, though!

I am gentle and inquisitive while observing my foster's rats from my crate, and I do well with the cats that I have met so far. While I've been a little shy when I've met a couple of big dogs, I have been interested in playing with smaller dogs! I do not like to have my food or toys touched without permission so other animals and people in the home will have to respect that.  I've never been mean about it but my foster mom listens to me when I ask her nicely "hey, dont sneak up on me when I'm eating!" and "dont take my yummy bone without a fair trade!" Even though I don't want to live with young children who might not understand my needs, I do like them in smaller doses! I have had the opportunity to meet my neighbor's kids through the fence, and I adore watching them calmly and kissing their hands!

I can be quite vocal, and I do require a fenced in yard for my safety.  I have to be honest with you, I'm not so good at potty training yet! I have an illness that causes me to go potty more than normal and now that it's under control I'm still working on keeping my kennel clean and always making it outside! I need someone who can take me outside a lot.  My foster mom lets me out every 4-6 hours during the day and I will need my next family to let me out that often as well.  I will also require medication for the rest of my life and check-ups at the vet every 6 months.  My foster mom can explain more about my needs, but the cost of my medicine would be 40-50 dollars a month.

Having a deaf dog with medical needs like me will require a little extra effort and patience, but I promise you I'm worth it!
