I’m Avery, and I’m pretty sure we just became best friends. Too soon? Okay, okay. Here’s a little about me (and then we’ll get to the BFFs part).

The number one thing to know about me is that the world is my playground. The backyard? Playground. Your lap? Playground. The snow? Playground! I’m very high energy and I am hoping to find a fur-ever family that has a fenced-in backyard so I can run and play to my heart’s content. I especially love the game of fetch and I would get along best with adults or older kids because I sometimes get too excited and knock down little ones. It’s not my fault, I just get forget how big I am! Though I love the idea of fellow canine friends, they scare me sometimes and I feel as though I would be my best self as an only fur-child. Fortunately, I’m 62 pounds of pure entertainment and you’ll have your hands full with me!

I didn’t want to start off by saying this because I didn’t want to brag, but I know a LOT of things. I know how to sit, lay down, shake, high five, give knucks, spin, and wait. My favorite is “wait” because I get to show you how patient I am and how well I listen. It always impresses my humans and that makes my heart so happy! I am eager to please and can’t wait to see what else you can teach me.

My next favorite thing is cuddling and napping, quickly followed by belly rubs and giving kisses. I am a very affectionate and empathetic pup, and I am very thoughtful and in tune with my humans. I care very deeply about what they think and how they feel, and I am so excited to find my fur-ever family to call home so I can give them my whole heart.

Now, back to the BFFs thing. Have I won your heart?
