Sam has been a Licensed Veterinary Technician for six years, earning a Bachelor’s degree from North Dakota State University. She double-majored in Veterinary Technology and Animal Science, gaining experience with both small and large animals but ultimately developing a preference for small animal care. From a young age, she knew exactly what she wanted to do and continues to love her job.

Two years ago, she sought to become more involved in rescue work and joined Ruff Start Rescue. She was drawn to RSR because of the organization’s passion for helping animals in need, the dedication of its team, and the welcoming environment that made her feel right at home.

She has a six-year-old black Labrador Retriever and grew up in a family that always had dogs—coincidentally, all labs. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her dog and family, reading, completing jigsaw puzzles, and discovering new parks to explore.
