Kendra is joining the Ruff Start Rescue team as our Development Officer. Her passion for rescue started at a young age as a fierce animal welfare advocate and lover of all creatures. Her passion is fueled by her unwavering confidence in the Ruff Start Rescue mission and her desire to expand our work as advocates, rescuers, educators, resource providers and the building of fur-ever families.

With over 5 years of non-profit animal welfare experience with a focus on fundraising and relationship building, Kendra understands the importance of support and resources in creating impactful change and is committed to fostering a world where every animal has a home and every home has the resources to thrive with their companions.

Kendra recently made her way back to Minnesota where she was born and raised, after 5 wonderful years in beautiful Colorado. Kendra and her partner, Jake can almost always be found outdoors with their two dogs Sunny and Umber. Outside of animal welfare/rescue, Kendra’s passions include hiking, camping, gardening, spending time on the lake, fostering dogs, reading and is always in search of a cute local coffee shop!
