Kelly joined Ruff Start Rescue in 2015 and has volunteered in many different roles over the years, Placement Coordinator, Intake Coordinator, Volunteer Dog Trainer, and Foster. She especially enjoys helping dogs with behavioral challenges blossom. In October 2026, she joined the team as the part-time On-Call Foster Support Specialist, bringing over 10 years of rescue experience to support, navigate questions, challenges, and the rewarding journey of fostering for foster and foster-to-adopt homes.

Kelly lives on 20 wooded acres with her Ruff Start alumni, Blaze, Navy June, Sage Louise, and Crimson, along with her first-ever cat, Bamboo. In her spare time, she enjoys providing dog enrichment activities for her pups, drinking iced coffee, thrifting, and spending time with her family and best friends.
