Veterinary Technician, LVT

Dani has been a veterinary technician for Ruff Start Rescue® since 2026. She has had wonderful experiences with RSR from multiple perspectives, first through assisting with veterinary care for adopted RSR animals, and later as an adopter herself. These positive interactions made joining the team a natural next step.

Dani is a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) who is eager to explore a new side of veterinary medicine in the shelter setting. Her background includes experience in general practice across equine, exotic, and small animal care, along with wildlife rehabilitation through volunteering with Wildlife Rehabilitation & Release (WRR). She is especially excited to continue growing her skills, with a focus on advancing her surgical experience.

At home, Dani lives on a lively hobby farm with her two Australian Shepherds, Agate and Tarot; several cats; goats; a sheep; snakes; and her partner’s dogs—so there’s never a dull moment! Outside of work, she enjoys spending time in nature, hiking with her dogs, exploring new trails, and capturing natural landscapes through photography. She also enjoys skijoring with her youngest Aussie, as well as quieter hobbies like yoga and digital art.
