Chandra started as a Practice Manager at Ruff Start Rescue in March 2025. She applies her veterinary expertise to give our animals the best possible care. Her career path in veterinary medicine was unconventional; she began in a leadership capacity and has since become proficient in other roles. Chandra spent six years at a general practice clinic, which provided a solid foundation, and then transitioned to an emergency/specialty hospital for five years. That experience was intense and invaluable, exposing her to a wide range of emergency and specialized treatments.

Prior to her veterinary career, she worked in the music industry. Chandra holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Business/Management from Berklee College of Music, and subsequently spent time in Los Angeles, gaining experience in music publishing, record labels, and even television casting.

In her free time, Chandra enjoys taekwondo sparring, and hiking, especially to waterfalls.
