Anna started at Ruff Start in April 2022 as an Adoption Application Manager & Matchmaker. In this role she helps fosters and adopters work through the adoption process from the adoption application through finalizing the adoption agreement as well as connecting potential adopters with a new companion if they just aren’t sure which dog might be for them.
At the end of 2021 Anna decided to make a change and moved on from almost 25 years as a Patent Attorney to hopefully … but without having anything in place at the time… get a job just like the one she has now! Before that, she had fostered and volunteered with another rescue for about 6 years. Anna had and has loved dogs all her life. She currently lives in the southeastern metro area and has four dogs of her own – her Black Dog Crew – 3 foster fails through the rescue she fostered and volunteered with – and the Silver Queen (a 10 ½ year old silver lab – sassy and very self-important!).
When she is not trying to herd the four-dog herd, which is most often a losing battle, she enjoys watching hockey, knitting and spending warm summer days out on the deck enjoying the outdoors and time with friends and family.
