This year, Give to the Max Day (also known as GTMD) falls on Thursday, November 18 – but we’re in the heart of fundraising NOW! Help Ruff Start raise $100,000 to support veterinary expenses for the more than 3,300 animals we’ll save this year by using the following resources in your own personal online campaigns.
To make it easier for you to all help spread the good word about Ruff Start, we’ve created a custom toolkit of graphics to use on your social media channels (and wherever else you are on the internet), plus some instructions for setting up your own fundraiser(s) to easily raise funds for your favorite rescue.
Have questions about Give to the Max Day, fundraising, or the toolkit? Contact RSR’s Director of Marketing & Development, Pam Nelson, via email at email@example.com.
How to Set Up a Facebook Fundraiser on Your Desktop
Want to create a fundraiser on your Facebook page? Step-by-step instructions on how to set it up are listed below. Also, if you’re wondering: Facebook covers all processing fees for donations, so 100% of the amount you raise comes to Ruff Start to care for the animals in rescue and provide support for our programs.
Step 1: Click “Fundraisers” in the left menu of your newsfeed
Step 2: Click “Select Nonprofit”
Step 3: Type “Ruff Start Rescue” in the search bar
Step 4: Follow the remaining steps to set up your fundraiser
IMPORTANT: To be eligible for prizes, name your fundraiser:
“(Your name’s) Ruff Start Rescue Give to the Max Fundraiser”
Fundraiser timeline: you can choose any end date, but prizes will be awarded based on donations from November 1 to November 18. Fundraisers that raise any amount will be entered into a drawing for a sweet RSR prize basket. All fundraisers that raise at least $250 will receive an exclusive Ruff Start GTMD t-shirt (pictured right)!
Your Personal Toolkit
While we know you love advertising Ruff Start, we also know it isn’t always easy to figure out how to spread the word. That’s why we are taking the guesswork out of it and providing the following resources you can use on your social media channels!
We’re providing the following resources within our two graphic themes this year:
- General social media graphics – multiple sizes available for sharing in any type of social media post you’ll be making
- Facebook Cover Photos – for updating your personal page’s Facebook cover photo, or using as your custom Facebook fundraiser’s cover photo (more info below!)
- Instagram Stories – for use in your own ‘gram stories
