Ruff Start Rescue is a foster-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit companion animal rescue that primarily serves communities throughout the state of Minnesota, as well as states in the south with severe pet overpopulation. We rescue stray, neglected, abandoned, and surrendered dogs and cats as well as ferrets, guinea pigs, rabbits, and other critters. Most of our work is accomplished by a complex network of volunteers, fosters, and supporters, all of whom come together to save thousands of animals each year.
About Sasha Zerin
I am a certified personal trainer through NASM. I am also a 200 hour certified power yoga instructor and have certifications in yoga sculpt and spin. I have been teaching since 2013.
I hold a Bachelors of Science Degree in Health Promotion and Community Health Education from the University of St. Thomas, and have worked at three different athletic training facilities.
My other passion in life is fostering dogs for the non-profit Ruff Start Rescue. My husband, Alex and I have fostered over 30 dogs and usually have one in addition to our two foster fails (Harley and Winky). You may even see a few fosters in the background of my workout videos. 😉
