Are you ready to welcome a loving, gentle soul into your home? Look no further than Miss Scrunkle! This delightful feline bypasses all the usual shy introductions and is ready to shower you with affection from the moment you meet.

She needs no decompression time – she’s instantly seeking out chin scratches and eager to explore her new kingdom.

Miss Scrunkle is the epitome of a quiet companion. Her meow is a soft murmur, and her purr is a low, rumbling hum of pure contentment. While her tail is a unique, slightly scraggly accent, it only adds to her charm.

She thrives on company and would flourish in a home where she isn’t left alone for long stretches; she simply loves being near her people. You’ll know she wants a pet when she gently nudges your hand – a subtle and sweet invitation.

Beyond her charming personality, Miss Scrunkle is an expert-level biscuit maker (click here to see!), kneading with enthusiastic joy! Her inquisitive nature means she’s always ready to observe and explore.

She’s a professional lap cat, equally content snuggled on your knee or simply close by. A moving water fountain would be ideal for this discerning lady, or a very heavy bowl to prevent any accidental spills.

📝Please note: Miss Scrunkle has recently been diagnosed with diabetes and is still working with her veterinary team to get her condition regulated. She isn’t quite ready for adoption just yet, as her care plan is still being adjusted. When she is ready, her future family will need to be foster-to-adopt and will need to be comfortable with her ongoing medical needs, including bringing her to Ruff Start Rescue for bloodwork and monitoring as needed. For now, Miss Scrunkle is focusing on feeling her best so she can be ready to find her forever home!

If you’re seeking an instantly affectionate, quiet, and devoted companion, Miss Scrunkle is waiting to bless your home with purrs and gentle nudges. Come meet this special girl today!

NOTE ABOUT BREED LABELING: Visual breed identification of dogs is unreliable and usually inaccurate. So, for most of our adoptable pups, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog or puppy as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Please read the following general requirements carefully before submitting an adoption application. While this criteria is our typical standard, we understand all situations are unique! Don’t be discouraged if you don’t feel you meet one of these bullet points – feel free to submit an application anyway, so we can discuss your situation with you.

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Submitted applications must be filled out fully and factually.
  • All applicants must reside in the state of Minnesota or its bordering states, unless a special exception has been made. Please email us at info@ruffstartrescue.org if you would like to discuss the potential for an out of state adoption.
  • Consider how you’ll manage an isolation period and be sure all existing pets are up-to-date on vaccinations and other routine health care before bringing a new pet home. An isolation period would be good for allowing that animal to settle in and learn the routine.
  • Please be aware of any rental/association or homeowners’ insurance restrictions you may have before applying. Such limits may include breed restrictions, number of pets allowed, weight requirements, etc.
  • All adopted animals must live indoors with their families and always be monitored closely when outdoors for their safety (with the exception of working cats).
  • We do not allow any medically-unnecessary surgical procedures, such as declawing; defanging; debarking; or cropping/docking (of tails or ears) to be conducted on any animal adopted from our rescue.
