Meet Casper! 🐾
Casper may be the last of his brothers to come down from the cat tower, but don’t let his cautious nature fool you! Once he decides it’s time to play, he’s ALL IN! This sweet boy is still building his confidence, and he feels safest with his brothers nearby as he explores the world around him.
Casper’s favorite place to receive pets is right in his cat tower, where he’s learning that human attention can be pretty wonderful. He’ll let you pet him and even pick him up, and he recently started purring during pets! Those little milestones are proof that this shy guy is beginning to let his guard down.
When it comes to playtime, Casper transforms into a little athlete! He loves wrestling and racing around with his brother Greyson, but bring out a feather teaser and watch out! Casper can jump impressively high and gets so caught up in the fun that he forgets to be shy. After an enthusiastic play session, he’s ready to recharge with a well-earned nap.
New people may find Casper retreating to his tower to observe from a safe distance, but he doesn’t hide away completely. He just needs a little time to feel comfortable. Having his brothers nearby helps him feel secure, and with continued patience and gentle encouragement, we hope his confidence will keep growing.
Casper is also making progress with his litter box habits. He initially chose a corner of the room, but with a little creativity, his foster family set up a small litter box in his preferred spot, and he’s using it! He’s still learning, but he’s heading in the right direction.
Casper would love a patient, understanding home that will let him blossom at his own pace. Having a feline friend, especially one he can play and cuddle up with, will help him feel more secure. If you’re willing to give this sweet, cautious boy time to build trust, you’ll get to experience the special joy of watching his personality shine.
And remember, when in doubt, just bring out the feather teaser. For Casper, it’s the ultimate icebreaker! ❤️

Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
