The Story of Weston and Obie
Weston and Obie want to join Ruff Start! But, they can only do so with foster commitment.
Weston is a spirited 6-year-old corgi mix weighing in at 27 pounds and Obie is a playful 5-year-old shepherd mix tipping the scales at 80 pounds. These two companions have shared adventures for quite some time, and while we’d love to keep them together, they’re open to individual placements as well. They enjoy playing together and even slumber side by side in their kennel.
Both Weston and Obie are well-acquainted with the finer points of kennel and potty training, though Weston occasionally indulges in marking behaviors. A simple belly band might lend a hand in addressing this habit. Obie craves endless playtime and would thrive in a home that matches his zest for life. Another large canine companion could be just the ticket to channel his abundant energy, although a gradual introduction is advisable.
In their current home, Weston and Obie share space with two young children and have proven to be excellent playmates. While they haven’t encountered feline friends yet, supervised interactions with other dogs have yielded positive results in the past. Weston is a bundle of fun, always eager to leap into laps and then retreat to a cozy nook. Engaging him with a game of fetch will surely win you his undying affection.
These cuties are seeking active households to shower them with love and attention. If they find their way into Ruff Start, they’ll require thorough veterinary care, including neutering procedures. With your support, Weston and Obie are poised to blossom into cherished members of their new home(s).
