12 Strays of Christmas – Day 3

Searching for warmth on a cold night.
One of our goals this holiday season is to bring awareness to the many strays living in local impounds who need the community’s help. Join us in the coming weeks as we celebrate #12StraysofChristmas – an effort to find foster and adoptive homes for 12 stray animals before Christmas.
A local MN family was visiting their chicken coop late last week and spotted an unrecognized, small, fluffy creature trying to blend in with his feathered friends. They quickly realized it was a domesticated holland lop bunny trying to find a warm spot to rest his head. The family quickly set up a live trap and was able to get the bunny into safety. The family reached out to Ruff Start for assistance, and he made his way to his new RSR foster home on Friday, where he can be kept safe from the elements and unknown danger he was facing in the wild. When he was brought into foster, they decided to name the sweet, hopeful boy Kanga.
Kanga is settling in, and after he is examined by our veterinarian team, he will be ready to hop into his new forever home!
